The importance of sunglasses

We all are familiar with protecting our skin from the harmful UV rays with messages over the years of wearing a hat and sunscreen including slip, slop, slap. The eyes and eyelids are also prone to sun damage and conditions such as early cataracts, pterygiums, carcinoma of the eyelids and increased risk for ocular melanomas are all potential consequences of time in the sun without sunglasses.

Enjoying our time outdoors especially all the beautiful places in the Northern Beaches I have always been a strong advocate of sunglass wear and it is important that the sunglass lenses provide 100% UV protection. You’ll find that all our sunglasses in-store have 100% UV protection and importantly prescription sunglass lenses including 100% UV protection can be manufactured to cater for all prescriptions including progressive lenses.

We look forward to seeing you in-store to show our extensive sunglass range and discuss all your sunglass requirements at the Spot for all your Eyecare needs and wants
